What gives Rose Quartz its pink color are microscopic inclusions from a pinkish mineral that mixed in with quartz as it cooled. Rose Quartz is found in Brazil, Madagascar, and the US. It is the state mineral of South Dakota and found in the Black Hills area, where it was formed over 1.7 billion years ago.
